BASILIO | Murano Chandelier

The imposing Rezzonico-style chandelier consists of a golden structure, 20 arms distributed on two levels and 5 baskets from which depart an infinite number of colourful decorative elements made with attention down to the smallest detail.

Our Master Glassmakers have created a beautifully structured Murano chandelier embellished with 24Kt gold leaf, which incorporates most of the techniques of the Murano tradition.

The arms are covered with single glass elements called “bossole” decorated by crossing ridges traditionally called “riga mena” and by spheres and cups in blown glass all realised with the “balloton” technique, which are completed by different coloured “cutting” leaves worked one by one.
Many elements have a coloured “morrisa” edge and the large leaves that descend from the finial are worked in a “rigadin” style. The work of art is enriched with two-tone hard paste pendants and deep pink flowers.
