FORNACE49 was entrusted with the restoration of all the lighting fixtures that decorate the OLD PROCURATIE of Piazza San Marco 105 in Venice, the recently restored representative office of Assicurazioni Generali Spa.

The artefacts were subjected to the following work phases, necessary for the success of the required operations.

1. Collection of all packaging at the Generali Spa offices in Campo Santo Stefano in Venice, during which it was found that several boxes were still soaked in water that flooded the premises during the 2019 Acqua Granda water transport and land, carried out by a specialized company, at our headquarters in Mira where they were stored.
2. Opening of the packaging and simultaneous verification of the state of the lighting fixtures, with subsequent taking of samples to create the missing pieces at the furnace. All the samples taken were adequately identified and labelled, so that the cataloging already carried out by another company was not compromised.
3. Transfer of the individual lighting fixtures to the furnace, where all subsequent processes were carried out.
4. Washing, cleaning and restoration of all the individual pieces followed by the recomposition of the lighting fixtures (complete with spare parts carried out).
5. Updating the frames to standards with replacement of wooden discs, bases and any color restoration when necessary.
6. Complete wiring of all systems, including the replacement of lamp holders, cables, terminals and insertion of low consumption LED bulbs, previously hot-painted amber.
7. Water and land transport for the return of all packaging to the construction site.
8. Reassembly and installation of the lighting fixtures positioned according to the design indications with the aid of ladders, scaffolding and anything else that was necessary to deliver the finished work in a workmanlike manner.

The restoration work of the lighting fixtures, taken over in July 2021, ended in September 2021, but the artefacts were stored in our warehouse until December 2021, when they were reassembled at the Assicurazioni Generali Spa headquarters.

• complete washing of glass elements with specific products
• production and replacement of Murano glass spare parts
• replacing lamp holders
• brushing and repainting of the frame, creation of new wiring to bring the lighting fixtures up to standard, including cables and terminals, with subsequent testing and certification

FORNACE49 was entrusted with the restoration and reproduction of all the lighting fixtures restricted by the “Fine Arts”, as well as with the creation of many lighting fixtures based on their design which decorate the HOTEL NOLINSKI to Venice.

The reproduction work was carried out by taking samples of the existing lighting fixtures and creating perfect copies, while the work of creating the new lighting fixtures started from sketches made by the client, completely designed in CAD by our technical office and then created in our Furnaces.

The restoration, reproduction and construction work of the lighting fixtures began in August 2021 and finished in May 2023.

Murano glass chandelier, in classic Rezzonico style but updated with the use of smooth cups, entirely handmade in shiny black crystal in our Fornace49.

Murano glass chandelier “Rezzonico” White

RIALTO BLUE| Murano Chandelier

Rezzonico style chandelier entirely worked in “rigadin”, consisting of 12 arms covered with bosses and ending with large smooth and flared cups. Characterized by classic shapes, but by modern chromatic and stylistic choices: entirely “blue” painting for a long and slender shaft and a myriad of “pastorals”.

To complete the work, pendants in the shape of an elongated drop and iconic “sceptres” always in the same colour.

FENICE | Murano Chandelier

Classic Rezzonico-style chandeliers, called “barchetta (i.e. boat-shaped) due to its wide and elongated shape.

Made of transparent glass and details in 24Kt gold leaf, with arms covered by “bossole” elements worked in a “rigadin” style that reveal the golden chrome-plated structure.
The rounded cups are decorated by small hemispheres and “cutting” leaves. The work of art is enriched by bells, pendants, flowers and “cutting” leaves.

VALIER | Murano Chandelier

Classic Murano chandelier made entirely of glass and 24Kt gold leaf.

Decorated entirely by “riga mena” crossing ridges, it features six arms with particularly large “jolly” cups (in the shape of a jester’s hat), and stems with “cutting” leaves and flowers applied one by one.

This Murano glass chandelier is embellished by the sphere of the finial and the crest, on which are applied flowers of different sizes and, finally, rings capped with hanging bells.

EVA | Murano Chandelier

Classic Murano chandelier in transparent glass with polychrome details and decorations that give it a lively appearance.

It consists of six Rezzonico-style arms covered with transparent “bossole” elements worked in a “rigadin” style with coloured pendants. It also has capped cups realised with the “balloton” technique.
The work is enriched by stems decorated by “riga mena” ridges culminating in precious “paste” coloured flowers, “cutting” leaves worked one by one with small bells hanging from each leaf.

DANDOLO | Classic Murano Chandelier

Classic Murano glass chandeliers made entirely of crystal and 24Kt gold leaf.

The ceiling version consists of six arms with down light and, like the table version, has an extremely linear shape and smooth, transparent surfaces, enriched only by “cutting” edges.
The two pieces stand out for the special lily shape of the lampshades and flowers.
