Project Description

FORNACE49 was entrusted with the restoration and reproduction of all the lighting fixtures restricted by the “Fine Arts”, as well as with the creation of many lighting fixtures based on their design which decorate the HOTEL NOLINSKI to Venice.

The reproduction work was carried out by taking samples of the existing lighting fixtures and creating perfect copies, while the work of creating the new lighting fixtures started from sketches made by the client, completely designed in CAD by our technical office and then created in our Furnaces.

The restoration, reproduction and construction work of the lighting fixtures began in August 2021 and finished in May 2023.

“Cesendello” chandeliers | Rooms

Creation of suspension chandeliers inspired by the style of classic Venetian lanterns, consisting of a slender metal frame (golden with galvanic treatment), covered with rounded elements, which supports a large hemisphere surmounted by a “hat” and resting on two small spheres.

All the components, made of transparent Murano crystal and 24 Kt gold leaf, are characterized by a “rigadin” process, which by “moving” the surfaces creates plays of light and reflections when the lamps are turned on.

Made after various prototypes in two sizes, diameter 40 and 60cm, each single piece was customized in the height of the frame, in order to be able to adapt correctly to the ceilings of the rooms in which they were positioned.

“Cesendello” ceiling lamps | Bedroom bathrooms

Creation of 35cm diameter ceiling lights made up of a golden metal plate (with galvanic treatment), a large hemisphere lampshade ending on two smaller elements, one rounded and one spherical, to create a pendant with the “Cesendello” chandeliers.

All the components, made of transparent Murano crystal and 24 Kt gold leaf, are characterized by a “rigadin” process, which by “moving” the surfaces creates plays of light and reflections when the lamps are turned on.

Hexagonal lanterns | Coffee

Creation of ceiling lanterns with a hexagonal section frame in metal treated with hand-applied silver leaf and perimeter glass composed of paired glass rods, which give movement and opacity to the Murano glass surface

After the creation of several renderings and modifications during construction, two different sizes were produced (40 and 75cm height of the lampshade) intended for the lighting of the Café.

The larger one has a transparent blown Murano glass sphere on the bottom.
