GENUINE MURANO GLASS LAMPS AND CHANDELIERS

CRAFT TECHNIQUES

BALLOTON

Relief rhomboidal texture, imprinted on the surface thanks to the use of a mould tool in which the glass is inserted, previously attached to the barrel, before being inflated.

BOSSOLE

Inflated glass truncated-cone elements, fitted one on top of the other, to completely cover the metal structure of the chandelier which is one of the peculiar characteristics of the so-called REZZONICO chandelier.

CIMIERO

Decorative element, often round, placed on the upper part of the chandelier to enrich its central structure.

“IN FOGO” COLOURING

Colouring obtained by mixing the coloured mineral pigments to the vitreous matrix, thus making the colour transparent, vivid and unalterable over time.

“IN PASTA” COLOURING

Colouring obtained by rolling the white glass element on a coloured glass powder, thus making a mat coloured surface.

GOLD OR SILVER LEAVES COLOURING

Precious colour obtained by applying very thin sheets of 24Kt gold or silver to not yet solidified glass which, at the time of inflation, are pulverized creating a metallic and reflective effect.

MORRISA

Coloured border obtained by the hot application of a layer of coloured glass on the edge of various elements, subsequently worked by means of various tools to obtain various textures.

REZZONICO

Chandelier characterized by large arms supported by a metal structure covered by blown glass BOSSOLE, interlocked on each other, and by the addition of a double-shaped violin arm that vertically joins the upper part and the lower part of the central structure.

RIGADIN

Straight and parallel relief stripes on the surface, thanks to the use of a mould tool in which the glass is inserted, previously attached to the barrel, before being inflated.

RIGAMENÀ

Ribbed relief in a twisted pattern impressed on the surface thanks to the use of a mould tool in which the glass is inserted, previously attached to the barrel, before being inflated.

TAGLIANTATURA

Technique used to imprint the characteristic edging of leaves and petals, cut and made one by one in place.

TAZZA

Glass cup placed at the end of each arm, where the lamp is inserted.
